Bald Eagle Calling

from $34.99
Met up with @grantwebsterphoto yesterday to go out at Lake Red Rock to look for wildlife. We were hoping to find some chickadees on the sumac but they weren't cooperating. We were driving to the dam to look for eagles when we found probably 100 to 150 bald eagles on a 5 acre pond next to the lake. When we first got there 50+ were on the ice and another 75+ were in the trees. The water was at the bottom of a very steep hill with a gravel road along it and the hill had a lot of trees growing on it. This meant we were eye level with a bunch of eagles and were able to get these shots! If you saw my story the reason the eagles were at this location was because the whole pond was covered in dead fish frozen in ice. Thousands of fish just barely sticking through. I think as the ice melts the next few days we will be able to get even more cool photos.
